APU's Commitment to Sustainable Management

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors are non-financial elements that significantly influence business operations. As awareness of sustainable management grows globally, the importance of ESG as a new paradigm in corporate strategy is increasingly recognized. ESG serves as a core indicator of sustainable management and a critical determinant of a company’s future viability.

APU is committed to minimizing the negative environmental and social impacts directly or indirectly caused by our business activities. We have established an enterprise-wide integrated risk management system to strengthen control over both traditional financial risks and non-financial risks. To build strong relationships with stakeholders across diverse business sectors and deliver greater value, we are implementing sustainable project management strategies that reflect the rapidly changing business environment and evolving ESG regulations.

Expanding the Value of Sustainability

APU incorporates the demands of project partners, team members, and ESG-based regulations to expand the value of sustainability. Particularly in our distribution business, we are identifying opportunities for improvement in areas such as eco-friendly products, sustainable packaging, and green logistics, and working closely with project partners to drive meaningful change.

A Human-Centric Organizational Culture

To align with the dynamic project landscape, APU focuses on attracting top talent, fostering innovation, and embracing diversity among our team members. We are committed to improving human rights management systems and workplace culture to build a healthy organizational environment. Our HR practices respect the diversity of our employees and comply with labor standards recommended by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and ratified by the Korean government. Discrimination based on gender, age, race, disability, religion, political orientation, or origin is strictly prohibited. Human rights considerations are integrated into all decision-making processes related to project planning, investment, and management. Our human rights policy applies to all stakeholders influenced by APU’s operations, including subsidiaries, all of which adhere to these guidelines.

Partnering for Mutual Growth

APU collectively refers to the diverse stakeholders involved in our projects as “partners.” We actively support these partners to foster collaboration and generate positive value through APU initiatives.

Transparent Governance

APU publishes an annual project white paper detailing the achievements of our initiatives, along with the accountability activities of our executives and board members. This ensures transparent communication regarding APU’s practices and progress in advancing governance.

Reducing Carbon Emissions

APU has set a goal to reduce carbon emissions associated with our projects by more than 40% by 2030, compared to 2020 levels. Company-wide initiatives, including reducing energy consumption, are being actively implemented to achieve this target.

Practicing Responsible Management

APU aspires to contribute to the welfare of humanity through various projects while addressing potential social and ethical issues with a responsible approach.
